Head of the 242^nd training center of airborne troops Col. O.Y. Ponomaryov has been questioned today’s evening during the investigation in the collapse of military barracks in the village of Svetly, Omsk Region. He partially admitted his guilt in the tragedy, stating that it was he who had allowed the soldiers to settle in the barracks.

At present Ponomaryov was detained in accordance with article 91 of the Criminal Procedure Code. Investigators are going to check his involvement in the crime. Restraint is expected soon.

Acrive investigative operations are continued to identify all individuals that may be responsible for the tragedy.
