The Perm Territory investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee continue investigating a criminal case opened in a crime under part 1 of article 238 of the RF Penal Code (unsafe work or services) after part of a 5-floor block of flats collapsed in the morning of 11 July 2015 in Kuybyshev street No 103 in Perm.

CEO of Executive Director of OOO Facility Management Company Motorostroitel have been detained and questioned. Custodial restraint for both of them is expected.

According to investigators, a part of the five-floor block of flats in Kuybyshev street No 103 collapsed in the morning of 11 July 2015. Two residents a 76-year-old man and a 74-year-old woman were killed in the collapse. One 24-year-old person is in hospital with injuries, three more received medical aid. Presumably the reason for the collapse might have been weakening of bearing structures.

An investigative team is working at the scene at the moment. The investigators keep on questioning witnesses and victims. With the help of all necessary specialists they continue examining the scene. They have confiscated documents from all control authorities, facility management company and organizations leasing space on the first floor of the house. The staff of those organizations have been questioned. Forensic inquiries are underway. The investigation is ongoing.
