Probe finished in stealing dog from blind girl in Moscow

The investigating bodies of the Moscow Main Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have finished investigation against a 37-year-old woman accused of a crime under part 3 of article 158 of the RF Penal Code (grand theft).

According to investigators, on 29 July 2015, Yulia Dyakova together with her guide dog was walking near Profsoyuznaya metro station in Moscow. When Dyakova had felt a strong jerk of the leash, she started calling the dog, which did not react to her commands. Passers-by started gathering around the crying girl and told her that an unidentified woman had been seen with the dog near the metro. On 6 August 2015, the investigators gave the dog back to its owner.

The investigators have enough evidence, so the criminal case has been sent for the indictment to be approved and them be sent to court to be tried on the merits.
