The Chairman of the Russian Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin has conducted a meeting with the President of the Peter the Great’s Academy of Sciences and Arts Leonid Maiboroda and the Chancellor of the Saint-Petersburg Investigative Committee Academy Alexander Yefremov in the Saint-Petersburg Investigative Committee Academy today.
Head of Educational Office of the Investigative Committee Sergei Petrov, the assistance of the Vice-Chancellor of the Investigative Committee Academy Alexey Klementyev, the Vice-Presidents of the Peter the Great’s Academy of Sciences and Arts Yuri Rusakov and Alexei Vorontsov, as well as Chief Academic Secretary of the Peter the Great’s Academy of Sciences and Arts Vasiliy Komov also took part in the meeting.
Parties have discussed cooperation in mental and spiritual upbringing of young employees of the Investigative Committee and future investigators. The Chairman of the Investigative Committee underlined the intellectual potential of the Peter the Great’s Academy of Sciences and Arts and expressed confidence that such cooperation will create conditions for upbringing of civil responsibility, participation in the history and culture of Russia, upbringing of patriotism and morality in employees of the Committee, students and cadets.
Leonid Maiboroda supported the Chairman of the Committee in his striving for improvement of spiritual upbringing and highly praised his care about upbringing of future generations. For major contribution into Russian statehood and strengthening of state’s role in safety of citizens, the President of the Peter the Great’s Academy of Sciences and Arts handed the Chairman of the Investigative Committee diploma for Koni’s Prize of the Peter the Great’s Academy of Sciences and Arts and Laureat’s Medal of the Peter the Great’s Academy of Sciences and Arts “For Loyalty to Russia”.
At the end of the meeting Leoind Maiboroda and Alexander Yefremov signed an agreement on cooperation between the academies. The agreement will provide efficiency boost in scientific researches, education of specialists and scientific staff for investigative agencies, as well as joint development in scientific problems, aimed at life improvement, free art for people and spiritual revival and development of Russia.
The agreement also provides for cooperation and provision of mutual aid in scientific field for training of Investigative Committee’s employees and fulfilling of tasks, set to Peter the Great’s Academy of Sciences and Arts. As well as implementation of educational activities, carrying out of joint scientific events, including international ones, carrying out of advisory activities in different fields of science and arts, joint preparation of legal acts, proposals and recommendations on improvement of investigative agencies’ activities, as well as other kinds of cooperation.
Scientists and cultural workers of the Academy are ready to share knowledge and experience with the Committee, young investigators, as well as students of the Investigative Committee’s educational institutions.
