The court has recognized the evidence assembled by the General Investigative Office of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation sufficient to sentence Aleksey Andryushin, Dmitri Bartenev, Igor Borisov, Aleksey Buloyv, Vitaly Lepins and Evgeny Mironov. They were found guilty of a crime under part 3, article 227 of the Criminal Code (piracy).

The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation and the Chief Military Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Poland continue criminal investigation into the crash of the Polish aircraft Tu-154 tail number 101 of the Republic of Poland which carried out the flight 10.04.2010 Warsaw – Smolensk “Severniy”. There were 88 passengers and 8 crew members who died in the crash. The delegation headed by the President of Poland Lech Kaczynski was heading to Katyn.
