In Primorye Territory, man held involved in last summer murder of child in Kirovsky village

The Primorye Territory investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee together with criminalists of the Central Office of the Russia’s Investigative Committee and officers of the Main Crime Detection Office and Primory Territory Office of the Ministry of the Interior have done a lot to solve the murder of a 10-year-old girl from the village of Kirovsky committed in July 2015.

Biological samples (saliva from cheeks) were taken from all males in the village of Kirovsky and other nearby villages to run DNA and match tests. Several DNA laboratories in Khabarovsk of both the Investigative Committee and the Ministry of the Interior were involved for faster solving of the brutal crime committed against the child. The experts had to examine DNA samples of 8 thousand males. One of them matched the trace found at the crime scene. The man was identified.

At present investigative and search operations are underway to find out all the details about the suspect and his involvement in the crime. During the questioning he did not deny his role in the crime.

It was reported earlier that on 27 July 2015, the 10-year-old girl went for a walk in the village of Kirovsky and never came back. During the search her dead body with signs of violent death was found near an abandoned building in Sorokin street. The Primorye Territory investigating bodies opened an investigation in a crime under paragraph “c” of part 2 of article 105 of the RF Penal Code (murder).

The investigation is ongoing with active cooperation between criminalists of the Central Office of the Investigative Committee and the Primorye Territory Office of the Ministry of the Interior.
