Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area-Yugra Office of the Investigative Committee continues the investigation into crimes under Part 1 of Article 238 of the RF Penal Code (provision of services that do not meet safety standards) and Part 2, item “c” of Article 112 (deliberate infliction of medium range bodily harm to a minor) following injuries sustained by a 7-year-old boy in the rehabilitation center in the town of Surgut.

Investigators have revealed that the director of the rehabilitation center and head of the day care department failed control properly the stay and provision of social and medical services to the patients of the center which led to considerable violation of rights and legal interests of the child.

Criminal cases over a crime under Part 1 of Article 293 of the RF Penal Code (negligence) have been opened against the said officials.  

The investigators continue finding out all the details of the crime, they are collecting and registering evidence, and are looking into the reasons and conditions that contributed to the crime.
