The Moscow Directorate of the Investigative Committee continues investigating a fire in a storehouse that killed several people. Investigators have charged in absentia CEO of Print Express, limited liability company Sergei Moskvin and chief engineer Anton Yatskov in charge of fire safety with a crime under Part 3 of Article 219 of the RF Penal Code (violation of fire safety).
As became known earlier, on the morning of 27 August 2016, a fire started in a storehouse in Altufyevskoye highway in Moscow and them spread to 4 floors of the building. Bodies 16 people were found at the fire scene and another person died in a hospital.
An investigative team of 14 investigators and 7 expert criminalists has been set up to look into the fire. The investigators have worked continuously for two days and finished all necessary investigative operations in the shortest possible time. They have assigned 30 forensic inquiries run by 10 forensic medical experts of the Bureau of Forensic Medical Inquiry of the Moscow Public Health Department. All documents were readied, so that the representatives of the Kyrgyz Embassy in Russia were able to start transportation of the dead to Kyrgyzstan on Sunday evening. Three citizens of the Russian Federation who lived in Moscow have been identified among the dead. Relatives of all killed have been recognized victims.
At the present time two accused men aged 48 and 45 years are wanted. Investigative operations are underway to collect and register evidence. The investigation is ongoing.
