In Moscow, suspect of print shop fire arrested

The Moscow Directorate of the Investigative Committee continues the investigation into a fire in a storehouse that killed several people. Investigators have pressed charges of a crime under Part 3 of Article 219 of the RF Penal Code (violation of fire safety) in absentia against CEO of Pechatny express, a limited liability company, Sergei Moskvin and chief engineer of the company Anton Yatskov who was in charge of fire safety.

As became known earlier, on the morning of 27 August 2016, a fire started in a storehouse in Altufyevskoye highway in Moscow and them spread to 4 floors of the building. Bodies 16 people were found at the fire scene and another person died in a hospital. As a result of well-planned tactics, Sergei Moskvin has come into touch and under the load of the evidence has decided to turn up in the Moscow Directorate of the Investigative Committee and confess to the crime.

A court has reviewed the custodial request filed by the investigators and arrested Moskvin agreeing that otherwise the accused may flee, put pressure on witnesses or take some steps to destroy the evidence.

The investigators are looking for Anton Yatskov while the probe is ongoing.
