The Moscow Region Directorate of the Investigative Committee continues the investigation into geating of a doctor at the central district hospital in the town of Orekhovo-Zuyevo.

On 30 August 2016, a patient came to the central district hospital of Orekhovo-Zuyevo to an appointment with a laboratory assistant radiologist. She allegedly got exasperated by the fact that she was not allowed to jump the queue and called in her bother, who then beat up the doctor.

Initially the case was opened in to a crime under Part 2, items “b” and “e” of Article 112 of the RF Penal Code (deliberate infliction of medium bodily harm), but investigators have found in Mironenko’s actions signs of a graver crime and today the man has been charged with attempted murder (Part 3 of Article 30, Part 1 of Article 105 of the RF Penal Code).

At the moment, investigative operations are continued to collect and register evidence. The investigators have requested from the police the woman’s complaint that the doctor beat her. Her grounds will also be checked most thoroughly.
