The Investigative Committee continues looking into death of people in a gas explosion in an apartment building in Ryazan Region (Part 3 of Article 238 of the RF Penal Code).

As became known earlier, bodies of four more people were extricated from the debris. They are a 49-year-old man and a 57-year-old woman who lived in flat No 42, a 40-year-old woman and her 6-year-old son, who lived in flat No 48. There are now 7 victims, all of them have been identified.

An investigative team of investigators and criminalists of the Committee’s Central Office and regional investigative authority keep working at the scene. Questionings and face-to-face interrogations are continued. Fragments of gas equipment installed in the flat where the explosion presumably happened have been found and seized. At the moment they are being studied by criminalists and other specialists, investigative operations are underway to find out all the details of the incident and to identify the guilty ones. The investigation is ongoing.
