The Maritime Territory Office of the Investigative Committee has finished the investigation against a 37-year-old woman charged with a crime under part 4 of Article 111 of the RF penal Code (deliverate infliction of grievous bodily harm entailing death).

According to investigators, on 14 September 2004, the drunk accused hit her 4-year-old daughter in her flat in Kirov Street in the town of Artyom. She also pushed her in her back making the girl fall and hit the corner of a piece of furniture. The girl died of a brain injury. Feating that she would get into jail for that the woman got rid of the body by throwing it in a lake. The remains were found there a year later.

The woman has several convictions for crimes against human health, and during yet another term in prison she confessed to the crime.

The investigators have enough evidence so the criminal case with the signed indictment has been referred to court.
