Following a check into media reports about a child receiving scolds the Arkhangelsk Region and Nenets Autonomous Area Office of the Investigative Committee has opened an investigation in unsafe works and services under Part 1 of Article 238 of the RF Penal Code.

According to investigators, on 15 March 2017, about 4 PM, a 7-year-old boy fell in a hole filled with boiling water near No 6 in Rozinga Street. The hole was formed after a breakdown in a heating system. The child with scolds on his feed was taken to a hospital.

At present, investigative operations are underway to find out all the circumstances of the incident. The investigators are collecting evidence, questioning witnesses and injured parties and are going to order forensic examinations. The investigation is ongoing.
