Ceremony dedicated to 72nd anniversary of Victory of the Soviet Union of Nazi Germany and conference dedicated to reorganization of the Inter-district non-government organization “Distinguished Commanders and Naval Commanders of Fatherland” into the All-Russian non-governmental organization for perpetuation of memory “Distinguished Commanders and Naval Commanders of Fatherland” has taken place today in the Military University of the Russian Defence Ministry in cooperation with the Moscow Directorate of the Russian Investigative Committee.

The President of the Inter-district non-government organization “Distinguished Commanders and Naval Commanders of Fatherland” Alexander Sukharev, the Vice-President of the organization Alikhan Merzhoyev, Deputy Minister of Justice Alu Alkhanov, the Chairman of the Moscow Division of the “Distinguished Commanders and Naval Commanders of Fatherland” Viktor Barynkin, the Senior Assistant of the Chairman of the Investigative Committee Igor Komissarov, the Head of the Training and Education Department of the Investigative Committee Sergei Petrov, the People’s Artist of the Russian SFSR Vladimir Vinokur, the Principal of the All-Russian State University of Justice Olga Aleksandrova, veterans of the Great Patriotic War, veterans of military operations, students of the Alexander Nevsky’s Cadet Corps of the Investigative Committee of the Moscow Academy of the Russian Investigative Committee and other honored guests took part in the event.

Alexander Sukharev, Alu Alukhanov, Alikhan Merzhoyev, Sergei Petrov presented their speeches to the guests.

Participants and guests of the event expressed their sincerest gratitude to the veterans of the Great Patriotic War for their courage, honor and deeds on the battlefield.

The People’s Artist of the Russian SFSR, theater and cinema actor, poet Mikhail Nozhkin, the Russian composer and singer, member of the Public Council of the Moscow Directorate of the Investigative Committee Eduard Izmestyev, as well as young artists from the musical group of the Gymnasium No.1584, who performed patriotic military songs, congratulated the veterans and guests of the event.

As the result of the ceremony the Inter-district non-government organization “Distinguished Commanders and Naval Commanders of Fatherland” was successfully reorganized into All-Russian organization.

At the end of the ceremony, all Veterans of the Great Patriotic War and veterans of military operations were handed awards of the Investigative Committee and memorable gifts.
