The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia ordered to report about media covered incidents

Today a federal channel reported about a 65-year-old disabled person evicted from an apartment in Moscow with his daughter and grandchildren. It was reported that the family was renting the apartment from a pensioner under life annuity contract. After her death the ownership rights passed to the family. However the post-mortem psychological and psychiatric examination showed that the pensioner was unaware of her actions and the court invalidated the contract. The family is being evicted without having any other housing.  The Moscow Main Investigations Department launched a probe into  this fact.

The media also reported today that an unknown person in St. Petersburg attacked a sister of polar researcher Arthur Chilingarov in an entrance hall of her house. It was reported that the unsub hit the 71-year-old victim on the head and left. The woman has been hospitalized and the police has detained a previously convicted citizen. The St. Petersburg Main Investigations Directorate initiated transfer of case materials to proceedings of Investigative Committee investigators.

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia ordered to thoroughly establish all circumstances of the incidents and to report about the results.
