Despite the consistency of measures taken by law enforcement agencies aimed at combating crime, the crime situation always requires increased attention and constant improvement of mechanisms to counter new challenges that infringe on the rights of citizens and public safety. Upon discussion of the state and level of modern crime in the country and the reasons for committing certain types of crimes, the participants of the meeting defined a number of tasks aimed at reducing the level of crime, as well as a set of preventive measures.
Speaking at the meeting, the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia outlined a number of aspects that should be taken into account when developing measures to improve the crime situation. According to him, the complex crime situation is promoted, among other things, by the deep problems associated with the formation of a world view and legal consciousness among young people. Alexander Bastrykin emphasized that, among other things, it is necessary to ensure a decent level of legal culture and upbringing of young people, to orient the younger generation to traditional moral and ethical values, involving veterans, Heroes of Russia in this work. He added that this task is not only for the power bloc, but for the authorities and society as a whole, and its implementation requires a systematic and comprehensive approach.
