The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed the direction of the Khabarovsk Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia to report on the progress of investigation of a probe into violations committed at construction of a children’s hospital complex in Komsomolsk-on-Amur, launched against the Head of Khabarovsk Territory Ministry of Construction Customer Service under Part 1.1 of Article 293 (negligence) and Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Russia (abuse of authority).

According to the investigation, as a result of the crimes committed between December 2019 and August 2020 and in March 2020, the total damage caused to the Khabarovsk region amounted to more than 18 million rubles. A measure of restraint in the form of detention was chosen in respect of the accused in absentia, he was put on the international wanted list.

Alexander Bastrykin instructed the regional investigative department to conduct a full range of investigative actions aimed at establishing all the circumstances of the official crimes and put the progress and results of the probe under supervision.
