The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia requests reports on a number of incidents with children

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed the head of Vologda Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia Yashin G. Yu. to present a report on the progress of investigation of a probe into death of an 11-year-old boy in Belozersky District. According to the investigation, on August 26 a young local resident was admitted to hospital with a gunshot wound, from which he died a few hours later. It was established that the boy was fatally wounded while on the lake with his father in a rubber boat during hunting. The progress of investigation is under the supervision of the Central Office of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

Apart from that, the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed the acting head of the Novgorod Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia Kilesso S. V. to report on circumstances of a fire at a gas boiler plant. The media reported that more than 100 children with disabilities were evacuated from a rehabilitation center near Novgorod because of a fire in a gas boiler plant. The Veliky Novgorod department of the Novgorod Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia initiated an assessment for full and comprehensive establishment of circumstances reported by mass media. The progress of the assessment is under the supervision of the Central Office of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed the head of the Sverdlovsk Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia to report on circumstances of injuring of a child in a contact zoo. The officers of the Sverdlovsk Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia are establishing all circumstances of the incident in terms of an assessment into possible offense under Article 238 of the Criminal Code of Russia (rendering of services that do not meet requirements for safety of life and health of users).

Apart from that, the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed the head of Sakhalin Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia Bazarov B. B. to report on the progress of a probe into drowning of a 35-year-old local resident and disappearance of her 13-year-old son during swimming in the sea in Nevelsky District (Part 3 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of Russia). The circumstances of the incident are being established, a search for the missing teenager has been organized. The progress of investigation is under the supervision of the Central Office of the Investigative Committee of Russia.
