Chairman of the IC of Russia Gives a Number of Instructions to Record And Investigate New Shelling of Donbass by the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Alexander Ivanovich Bastrykin, the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, gave a number of instructions to record and investigate new facts of shelling of the civilian population of Donbass by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to media reports, on the morning of March 1, 2022, the Armed Forces of Ukraine fired on two settlements: Gorlovka and Zaitsevo Yuzhnoe. The number of victims is being checked. According to preliminary reports, two civilians were injured. 

A.I. Bastrykin instructed the investigators of the Central Office to continue recording and documenting evidence of new cases of injuries and deaths of civilians as a result of shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He pointed out the need to ensure the prompt exchange of information through the established channels of interaction with the law enforcement agencies of the DPR and LPR on the said facts of the criminal activities of Ukrainian military personnel, and ensure their documentation and investigation.
