A federal channel reported that several multi-child families in Novocherkassk, Rostov Oblast, have not been able to get a free land plot for many years, as the allocated lands do not meet necessary requirements – they are constantly flooded and there are no communications or roads. In the meantime, people continue to pay taxes for land plots. The Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for Rostov Oblast launched a probe.
Besides, news outlets reported that the orphanage in the village of Ketovo, Kurgan Oblast, which was commissioned 5 years ago, is currently feared to be dangerous for living due to the technical condition of the premises. The Investigative Department for Kurgan Oblast launched a probe into this matter. Investigators will look into legality of erection and commissioning of the said building, compliance with technical regulations and rules during its construction and determine reasons conducive to its current condition.
Chairman of the Investigative Committee ordered A. G. Khuade, Head of the Investigative Department for Rostov Oblast, and B. V. Frantsishko, Head of the Investigative Department for Kurgan Oblast, to submit reports. The progress of fulfilling orders is monitored by the Central Office of the IC.
