A number of criminal cases are launched based on the facts of torture of Russian military officers by the Ukrainian security officials

The Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia launched 3 criminal cases against             the Ukrainian military officers and against the officials of the Security Service of Ukraine. They committed the crimes in accordance with Art. 317, part. 3 Art. 127, paragraphs. «а», «d», «f» part. 2 Art. 117 the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (infringement on life; illegal deprivation of freedom; flagellation).

According to investigation, on the 22 of March 2022  several Russian military servicemen who were the participants of the special operation on the protection of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics were shelled by the Ukrainian security forces and seized in the Zaporizhia oblast of Ukraine, and then they were transferred to the Ukrainian Security officials, where they were illegally kept within 10 days. At the same time, physical abuse and tortures were systematically used towards the Russian soldiers in order to duress to falsify the statements about the actual conditions of illegal staying in the facilities of the Security Service of Ukraine, as well as about the special military operation.

Two more groups of Russian servicemen who performed the targets of the special operation were captured in the Nikolaevskaya oblast of Ukraine on March 2 and 5. For several days, they were held by the representatives of the Ukranian Security Officials, which used physical and psychological abuse against them trying to force them to voice the false information about the ongoing events.

During the investigation of this crime, the investigators establish the Ukrainian military officers, as well as the Ukrainian Security Officials who committed the tortures of Russian military servicemen.
