The investigation and the court found that Mr. Pryamonosov, as a gang-member, carried out illegal trafficking of weapons, took part in the commission of murders and robberies. In 1996, in the city of Shadrinsk, Kurgan oblast, Mr. Dmitry Pryamonosov, the brother of the accused, and Mr. Yuri Gorozhantsev created a gang of four local residents who committed murders, attempted murders and acquisitive crimes against property in their region until 2006. In 2006, Mr. Dmitry Pryamonosov, the leader of the gang, and three members of that group were detained, and criminal cases against them were sent to court. By verdicts, they were found guilty, they were sentenced to terms of imprisonment. The criminal prosecution of Mr. Gorozhantsev was terminated due to his death. Mr. Vyacheslav Pryamonosov was wanted. He was detained as a result of search activities organized in connection with the launched investigation, together with Officers of the Criminal Investigation Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for Kurgan oblast, with the power support of the SOBR fighters of the Russian Guard in Kurgan oblast.

By a verdict, Mr. Pryamonosov was sentenced to 23 years in prison to be served in a strict regime penal colony. In addition, he is obliged to compensate the victims 5.2 million rubles.
