On the air of one of the Federal channels it was reported that a student of one of the public schools in St. Petersburg came to class armed with a knife. In addition, the parents of other students reported their fears for the safety of their children, since this was not the first trick of the student, and the work of security guards at the school raises questions among parents.

The Chairman of the IC of Russia instructed Ms. Parastaeva M.G., Acting Head of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for St. Petersburg, to organize an investigation on the mentioned above fact and report on the situation. The investigators will evaluate the actions or inaction of persons performing the functions of ensuring the safety of the educational institution.

The inspection and its results are the subject to control in the Main Investigative Directorate of the Department.
