Woman suspected of violence against policemen during mass riots on Bolotnaya Ploshchad detained in Moscow

The Central Investigation Department of the Russian Investigative Committee continues investigation of the criminal case over mass riots during 6 May 2012 authorized rally on Bolotnaya Ploshchad in Moscow and violence against representatives of the authority (part 2 of article 212, part 1 of article 318 of the RF Criminal Code).

Today the Central Investigation Department of the Russian Investigative Committee has opened another criminal case over the signs of crimes under parts 1 and 2 of article 212 of the RF Criminal Code on the facts of organization and participation in mass riots Accompanied by violence during events on Bolotnaya Ploshchad and the area attached to it.

Based on evidence collected in the course of the investigation and article 91 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Russian Federation, 18-year old Alexandra Dukhanina was apprehended with the active support by Interior Ministyr and FSB officers on suspicions of violence against policemen ensuring public order during the public events.

After the necessary investigation operations, the investigators will file a motion for the court to select a restraint for Dukhanina.
