Within framework of a case over use of violence against the policemen performing a mission of an investigator connected with the investigation into attempted murder of Aleksey Usachev, three suspects have been detained: Mayerbek Islam, born 1991, Alkhazur Magamaev, born 1988, and Khabib Ibragimov, born 1991. The investigators qualified their actions as crimes under part 1 of article 318 of the RF Criminal Code (use of violence against a representative of the authority). In the near future investigator will file a motion to the court demanding to take the men into custody.

In case the information on involvement of other people in the use of violence against the policemen is confirmed, the measures to identify those people and detain them will be taken immediately.

Resistance to law enforcement on duty is a penal action. Individuals, committed those actions, will be prosecuted in accordance with the established by the law procedure independent of their political views, religious, social or national background. Article 318 provides for punishment of up to 10 years in prison.
