On 4 June, about 8 p.m. on Spasskaya underground station an elderly man under strong influence of alcohol pushed the female employee of the underground railway on the rails. Thanks to the help of a passing by man the woman managed to climb back on the platform before the train came. The policemen detained the culprit. The interior bodies have started a criminal case into the fact, on the signs of a crime under part 2 of article 116 of the RF Criminal Code (battery).

Due to the fact, that the men’s actions may conceal signs of a graver crime, under the instructions be the leadership of the Russia’s Investigative Committee, the Saint-Petersburg Main Investigations Directorate has initiated a question on seizing the case from interior bodies and put it in their execution.
