Two Tajikistan citizens accused of murder for hire to stand trial in Moscow Region

The investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee in Moscow Region have finished investigating a criminal case against two citizens of the Republic of Tajikistan. They are charged with the crime under paragraphs “g” and “h” of part 2 of article 105 of the RF Penal Code (murder committed by a group of persons in conspiracy and on hire).

According to investigators, in late December 2012, the accused woman motivated by personal dislike decided to kill her cohabiter. With this purpose she made a plan under which she had to find an accomplice. In the dormitory Astra in the town of Podolsk the woman offered an acquaintance of hers for a fee of 60 thousand rubles to commit the murder. The man agreed. The accomplices thought over their further plan and decided to kill the man in his flat in Podolsk. The woman had to find the murder weapon and determine the time for crime and her accomplice in addition to participation in the murder had to provide the hiding of the body and for that he found a car and people. On 6 January 2013, about 10:30 PM, the victim came home and not suspecting about the criminal intentions of his cohabiter went to bed. In her turn the woman called her accomplice and said that she had found the murder weapon – an axe and that they had to kill him that night. Sometime later the accomplice with unidentified persons came in the car to the victim’s house and alone went into the flat, while the unidentified accomplices stayed in the car to wait.

The accused hit the victim no fewer than five times with the axe on his head. The man died on the spot. After the murder the woman gave the accomplice 27 thousand rubles and her passport as a guarantee that she would pay the rest of the money. After that the accused together with unidentified people took the dead body out and put it in a trunk. Then they took it to the bridge over the Pakhra river in the village of Makarovo, Podolsky district in Moscow Region and threw it in water. At the same time the woman also trying to conceal the crime threw the blood-stained bed linen and the axe into a dustbin and piled it with garbage. She also cleaned the blood stains from the floor in the flat and the public corridor. As a result of joint and coherent actions of the accomplices the victim’s body was found only on 19 May 2013.

The investigators have done a lot of work to gather enough evidence and the case after the indictment is approved will be sent to the court to be tried on the merits.
