Court has found the evidence gathered by the investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee in Ivanovo Region enough to convict a 38-year-old former assistant to a deputy of State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the Liberal Democratic party of Russia in Ivanovo Region. He was found guilty of the crime under part 5 of article 33, part 3 of article 204 of the RF Penal Code (complicity in commercial bribery).

The court and investigators have found that between October 2012 and February 2013, the deputy aide assisted in receiving 500 thousand rubles from two citizens for helping in appointing them assistants to the deputy of State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the Liberal Democratic party of Russia in Ivanovo Region on a voluntary basis. The accused was detained by the agents of regional office of the Russian Interior Ministry in the building of Ivanovo administration.

The court sentenced him to a 2.5-year suspended prison term and a fine of 1 million rubles.
