In Tver Region deputy head of administration of municipality “Kalininsky district” to stand trial for exceeding office

Investigating bodies of the Investigation Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee in Tver Region have finished investigating a criminal case against a 34-year-old deputy head of administration of municipality “Kalininsky district” Alexander Artimenko, charged with a crime under paragraph “c” of part 3 of article 286 of the RF Criminal Code (exceeding official powers with grave consequences).

According to investigators, Artimenko, being deputy head of administration of municipality “Kalininsky district” in Tver Region and having organizational, managerial, administrative and economic functions, exceeded his official powers by concluding with local people a contract on selling 670 thousand square meters of land near the village of Spichevo, Kalininsky district, realizing that the said piece of land belonged to the Ministry of Defense and only Government of the Russian Federation had the right to dispose of it. The Artimenko’s deliberate actions inflicted material damage of no less than 140 million rubles.

Investigators have collected enough evidence, therefore, the case with the approved indictment has been sent to court to be tried on the merits.
