Alexander Bastrykin held a personal reception of citizens in Moscow on 12 March 2014. The Chairman of the Russia’s Investigative Committee received 14 residents of Moscow city, Volgograd, Moscow, and Orenburg regions, Krasnodar Territory, republics of Bashkortostan, North Ossetia-Alania and Udmurtia.

The most of complaints addressed to Mr. Bastrykin during the personal reception concerned procedural decisions made over criminal cases over especially grave crimes, including murders.

During the reception, which started at 01:00 PM and lasted till 07:30 PM, all citizens were received. Following the personal reception Mr. Bastrykin gave explicit orders to heads of a number of territorial investigating bodies. Progress of reviewing all accepted complaints and applications is under personal control of the Chairman.
