The St. Petersburg Main Investigations Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation charged a 30-year-old local resident with a crime under Paragraphs "a", "c" Part 2 of Article 105 of the RF Criminal Code (murder of two or more persons, including two minors).

At the request of investigators, the court remanded him in custody.

The defendant admitted that he had dismembered the bodies of his wife and children and brought them out, but pleaded guilty only partially.

The criminal investigation is under special control of the St. Petersburg Main Investigations Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia.
