Investigative Committee Chairman Alexander Bastrykin pays working visit to Sebastopol and Crimea

Chairman of the Russia’s Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin has arrived today for a working visit in the Republic of Crimea. His visit started with the city of Sebastopol, where the Chairman laid flowers to the Memorial of Soldiers’ Glory and took part in a military and historic conference together with Russian Minister of Defense Sergey Shoigu.

In the city of Simferopol Mr. Bastrykin held an enlarged meeting attended by Acting Head of the Crimean Republic Sergey Aksyonov, Acting Governor of Sebastopol Sergey Menyailo, Acting Prosecutor of the Crimean Republic Nikolai Khlustikov, Head of the Federal Security Service for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sebastopol Viktor Palangin, Minister of the Russian Interior Ministry for the Republic of Crimea Sergey Abisov, as well as personnel and senior officials of territorial investigations divisions of the Main Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee for the Republic of Crimea and the Investigations Directorate for the city of Sebastopol.

The meeting discussed organization and results of the work of the Main Investigations Directorate for the Republic of Crimea and the Investigations Directorate for the city of Sebastopol. Mr. Bastrykin addressed the participants with a welcoming speech and highly appreciated the work done. In addition, the meeting heard reports by a number of senior officials of the said investigations divisions.

After the official part best officials of the Main Investigations Directorate for the Republic of Crimea and the Investigations Directorate for the city of Sebastopol were awarded medals “For Merits”, “Fore Commitment to Duty”, “For Honors” and letters of commendations of the Chairman of the Russia’s Investigative Committee for proper service and high professionalism, execution of especially difficult and important tasks.

Besides, during his working trip, Mr. Bastrykin visited the Main Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee for the Republic of Crimea and got more familiar with the working conditions of the officials in the Directorate and territorial investigating divisions.
