In Krasnoyarsk Territory former Minister of Industry and Energy found guilty of fraud

A court has recognized the evidence gathered by the investigating bodies of the Russia’s investigative Committee for the Krasnoyarsk Territory sufficient to convict Denis Pashkov, the former Minister of Industry and Energy in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. He was found guilty of a crime under part 4 of article 159 of the RF Penal Code (fraud on an especially large scale).

The court and investigators found that in the period between December 2009 and June 2010, Pashkov serving as the Minister of industry and Energy of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, together with CEO of ZAO Sibtyazhmash stole from the Krasnoyarsk Territory budget by deceit over 29 million rubles causing the said budget damage on an especially large scale.

The court has given Pashkov a suspended sentence of 5 years in prison and a fine of 500 thousand rubles.

The case was opened based on the files provided by the Krasnoyarsk Territory Office of the Federal Security Service.
