In Moscow investigation launched against businessman and official of Federal Tax Service suspected of fraud

First Investigations Department of the Main Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee located in Moscow has launched an investigation in a fraud committed by a representative of a firm that won state purchase tender Ivan Dryablov and other unidentified individuals. They tried to steal budget funds of the Russian Federal Tax Service by inflating the cost of a state contract on creating technological aid-conditioning complex in territorial bodies of the Tax Service (part 3 of article 30, part 4 of article 159 of the RF Penal Code). Deputy Head of Administrative and Control Department of the Federal Tax Service Denis Gusev has been also detained as a suspect.

In late 2014, during meetings of the head of a contract firm with Dryablov, the suspects demanded to pass them part of the “fee” in early February 2015. After that Ivan Druablov was detained by officials of the Federal Security Service when he was receiving 16 million rubles. Denis Gusev was detained later.

Following a request of investigators, a court has ruled to place the suspects in custody pending trial.

Investigators and operatives have searched the offices, residences of the suspects and offices of different commercial organizations in Moscow.

At present urgent investigative operations are underway to reveal all the circumstances of the crime. The Federal Tax Service is assisting investigators in every possible way to carry out impartial and comprehensive investigation and to find out the reasons that contributed to the crime.
