In Nizhny Novgorod investigation against former state property and land resources minister accused of exceed of authority finished

Nizhny Novgorod Region investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have finished investigating a criminal case against former state property and land resources minister of Nizhny Novgorod Region charged with a crime under part 2 of article 286 of the RF Penal Code (exceed of authority).

According to investigators, in 2012, the minister illegally sold a piece of land over 17 thousand square meters in area near Meshcherskoye Lake in the city of Nizhny Novgorod and owned by the region to a commercial organization for 130 thousand rubles. The market cost of the property was over 60 million rubles and it had a bus stop on it.

The investigators have gathered enough evidence, so the criminal case with the approved indictment has been sent to court to be tried on the merits.
