Investigative Committee Chairman holds meeting at Leningrad Region Investigations Directorate

Chairman of the Russia’s Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin held a meeting at the Leningrad Region Investigations Directorate on 26 May 2015. The meeting was attended by senior officials and employees of the Leningrad Region Investigations Directorate, Second Investigations Department of the Main Investigations Directorate, Saint-Petersburg Main Investigations Directorate and Northwestern Transportation Investigations Directorate.

The Chairman heard reports on the results of investigations into most notorious crimes including the one into the murder of a woman and man committed in Leningrad Region by a taxi driver who used drinks adulterated with azaleptine, in a fraud to illegally get ownership of a land lot in Siversky forest. He gave orders about the directions of the investigations and identified main tasks for investigators.
