In St. Petersburg, probe finished against man charged with hostile takeover, planting gun on businessman and illegal deprivation of liberty

The Saint-Petersburg Directorate of the Investigative Committee has finished an investigation against Mikhail Krishyan, charged with crimes under Part 3 of Article 127, Part 4 of Article 159 and Part 3 of Article 33, part 1 of Article 286 of the RF Penal Code (illegal deprivation of liberty, swindling, organization of exceeding of official powers).

According to investigators, from September 2010 to November 2011, Kirshyan, as a member of an organized group together with other people submitted forged documents stating that the management of the enterprise had gotten the right to dispose of the property of ZAO PTK Stroitel. After that, in September 2010, supported by employees of a private security firm, they took over buildings of the company and captured a local businessman. Additionally, from 8 September to 7 October 2010, Krishyan arranged for an official of the economic crime office of the Admiralteisky District Department of the Ministry of the Interior to abuse his authority by planting a pistol, bought by Krishyan to the office of the firm’s CEO. The official has been sentenced to jail.

The investigators have enough evidence, so the criminal case has been sent for the indictment to be approved.

The Saint Petersburg Directorate is investigating another caste against Kryshyan charged with organization of infliction of grievous bodily harm to the owner of TRK Pulkovo-3, a mall, resulted in death of the victim and with organization of a murder of a businessman familiar with him.

As became known earlier, after a court had refused the motion of Krishyan’s arrest and a bail of 2 million rubles, the accused escaped and was put on an international wanted list. He was then detained in Estonia and extradited to the Russian Federation.
