Chairman of Investigative Committee conferred the rank of General of Justice of Russian Federation

In accordance with the order of the RF president No 73 of 20 February 2016 “On conferring military tanks of senior officers, special ranks of senior officials and senior special ranks” Chairman of the Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin was conferred the special rank “General of Justice of the Russian Federation”.

The General of Justice of the Russian Federation is a supreme special rank provided by the Federal Law “On the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation” and can be conferred by the Presdient of Russia only to the Chairman of the Investigative Committee. The analog of this rank in the Armed Forces is the General of Army and in the prosecutor’s office the State Adviser of Justice.
