The proof collected by the office for investigation of the particularly important cases of Russia's IC is declared by the court sufficient to deliver a sentence to the former deputy and Chairman of the Standing Committee for State Construction, Regulations and Local Administration of the Sakhalin region Duma of the 6th convocation Sergey Zaritskii. He has been declared guilty of committing crime in violation of Article 219.1, part 3, item b of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (mediation in bribery of large amount).

It has been determined by the investigation and court in September 2014 Zaritskiy proposed to one of the heads of the Department of the Interior for the Sakhalin region to patronate generally persons occupied with fishery for fee in the amount of 600 thousand rubles.

Punishment in form of a fine in the amount of 42 million rubles is appointed by the sentence of the court to Zaritskiy. In addition, he is deprived of the right to occupy positions related to implementation of functions of authority representative, to accomplish organizational-executive, administrative-economic functions in public bodies, local self-government bodies, government and municipal institutions, for 3 years.
