A criminal case initiated by the police bodies on signs of an offence in violation of Article 207, part 1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (misstatement about an act of terrorism), Article 330, part 2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (arbitrariness) has been accepted for proceedings by the Russia's Investigative Committee department for the Republic of Karelia.

According to investigation data, on April 21, 2016 mass media informed that a man called the stationary telephone number of a child municipal educational institution of Petrozavodsk, introduced himself as an employee of a debt recovery agency and threatened to explode a child care centre in case of failure to pay money debt on a credit by one of its employees. In a connection with information arrived the pupils of a kindergarten were evacuated, but the explosive device was not detected.

Given the fact juvenile children were in danger and protection of rights and interests of minors was one of the priority directions of the activity of the Russia's Investigative Committee, the head of the Russia's Investigative Committee deparment for the Republic of Karelia initiated an exception of the criminal case from investigation bodies of the Russian Administration on of Ministry of Internal Affairs for Petrozavodsk and its transfer to an investigation team of a division for investigation of the particularly important cases of regional Russia's IC with involvement of operating employees of the Criminal Investigations Directorate and the Federal Security Service Directorate for the Republic of Karelia.

At present based on the criminal case the plan of investigation is being developed in accordance with which a procedure of investigative proceedings and other procedural actions, as well as of investigative events aimed at establishment of all the circumstances of the crime, including persons committed it is established.
