The Head Office of the Investigative Committee has opened a criminal investigation in a crime under Part 4 of Article 159 of the RF Penal Code following fraudulent stealing of funds allocated from the federal budget. Investigators found that Pavel Belikov, director of the Canning Factory of the Federal Penitentiary Service was involved in the crime and charged him.

According to the investigators, in 2015, Belikov stole over 350 million rubles of governmental contract funding.

By now the investigators have sent to court a request to remand the accused into custody. They have carried out about 20 searches, confiscated documents relevant for the investigation. Other investigative and search operation are underway to find out all the details of the crime and to identify other individuals involved. The investigation is ongoing.
