Chairman of the Russia’s Investigative Committee arrived today with a working visit to Karelia in connection with the tragedy on Lake Syamozero.

Mr. Bastrykin visited OOO Park-Hotel Syamozero to pay tributes to the victims and held a briefing with members of the investigative team working on the case. During the meeting the Chairman gave instructions to his subordinates to not only look into the details of the incident, but to find out the reasons that had contributed to the tragedy.

He added that in his opinion the incident revealed lack of proper cooperation between agencies responsible for children’s health, safety and holidays, and it will also make the subject of an investigation.
