The Moscow Directorate of the Investigative Committee has opened an investigation in a crime under Part 1 of Article 216 of the RF penal Code (safety breach).

As became known earlier, on the evening of 9 November 2016, hot water was discharged on the section of a heat main near a drain well located near a block of flats in 3^rd Quarter Street in Kapotnya, Moscow. Hot water washed out the ground and accumulated under the ground. A 13-year-old Boy was walking with his friends when he came near the drain well. The ground under his feed caved in and he fell into hot water suffering burns to his hands and feet.

During the probe, the investigators are going to question a number of officials responsible for maintenance of the said area.

Necessary investigative operations are now underway to find out all the circumstances of the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
