Alexander Bastrykin holds briefing in Tula

Chairman of the Investigative Committee has held today a briefing in the city of Tula attended by senior officials of Investigative Committee’s offices located in Central Federal District, as well as by heads of the first department of the Investigative Committee’s Head Office and Moscow Interregional Transport Office.

Opening the meeting, Mr. Bastrykin named main results of the Investigative Committee’s performance over 10 months of current year noting that such crimes as overdue wages, medical malpractice, and acts of corruption require special attention. Additionally, considering the recent mass poisoning of people in Irkutsk Region all regions should be ready to prevent such instances quickly and efficiently and investigative authorities should be persistent and rigid.

Mr. Bastrykin heard reports on the progress and results of investigations into most complicated and high profile cases the investigative authorities located in Central Federal District are dealing with.

At the end of the meeting the Chairman gave explicit orders to heads of investigative authorities concerning most pressing areas in their activities.

He also awarded badge “For Service to the Law” to a number of employees and wished success to all personnel of the Investigative Committee in anticipation of New Year.
