Following order of Investigative Committee Chairman probe launched in Tatarstan into injuring paramedic who came to help child

Following the order of Alexander Bastrykin, the Tatarstan Office of the Investigative Committee has opened an investigation in an attempted murder under Part 3 of Article 30 and Article 105 of the RF Penal Code following injuring a female paramedic who arrived to help a five-month-old baby.

The incident happened in the town of Naberezhnye Chelny. According to preliminary data, an ambulance was called to help the five-month-old girl. When paramedics arrived, the girl’s aunt who had been drinking alcohol with the baby’s father stabbed one of the paramedics.

By now the attacker has been detained while the wounded woman is in hospital and according to doctors out of danger.

Investigators are going to find out all the circumstances of the assault. This yet another outrageous attempt on a paramedic who arrived to help a sick child will get a tough legal assessment at the Investigative Committee.
