Another man charged with St. Petersburg metro bombing

The Major Cases Directorate of the Investigative Committee continues the investigation into a terrorist attack committed at the Saint Petersburg metro on 3 April 2017.

Mukhamadyusup Ermatov, a resident of Saint Petersburg, has been charged today with a terrorist attack under Part 3, item “b” of Article 205 and illegal circulation of explosives and explosive devices under Part 2 of Article 222.1 of the RF Penal Code. According to investigators the man was involved in illegal circulation of explosives and was connected with Agbarzhon Dzhalilov. Ermatov has admitted part of the guilt.

At present, the investigators keep looking into all the circumstances surrounding the terrorist attack. They are working with the injured parties, running necessary forensic inquiries and checking connections of the suspects.

The investigators are going to give all-round legal assessment to the actions of all persons involved in the Saint Petersburg bombing and qualify them in accordance with the RF Penal Code.
