Following order of Investigative Committee Chairman internal check launched in improper probe in failure to pay wages to workers of Nizhny Tagil Insulation Plant

Following order of Alexander Bastrykin the Central office of the Investigative Committee has launched an internal check in red tape during investigation in failure to pay wages to workers of Nizhny Tagil Insulation Plant under Part 1 of Article 145.1 of the RF Criminal Code. According to investigators, the plant owes wages to 195 workers for a period between April 2016 and January 2017.

Officials of the Central Office have left for the city of Yekaterinburg to carry out the check. The head of the Investigative Committee’s Sverdlovsk Region Office has been suspended from office for the period of the check.

Protecting constitutional rights of citizens, one of which is the right to be rewarded for labor, is one of priorities of the Investigative Committee. It is intolerable that realization of this right is limited by anybody and it takes such a long time to restore the right. During the check the officials are going to find out why the probe has given no results and to make some decisions concerning the staff.
