The Orenburg Region Office of the Investigative Committee has opened an investigation in negligent homicide of two or more people under Part 3 of Article 109 of the RF Criminal Code.

According to investigators, there was a fire in the morning of 17 July 2017 in Rabochaya Street in the settlement of Koltubanovsky, Buzuluk District. Bodies of a 29-year-old man, 25-year-old woman and three children aged 3, 1 year and 2 weeks were found on the fire scene. The investigators believe that the five were a family.

At present, investigative operations are underway to find out all the circumstances surrounding the incident. The investigators are identifying and questioning eyewitnesses and have ordered a forensic medical and fire inquiries. The investigation continues.
