Alexander Bastrykin orders Central Office to take control over check in traffic accident in Rostov Region and probe in incident in Chelyabinsk Region

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee has ordered the Central Office to supervise a check in Rostov Region and an investigation in Chelyabinsk Region.

The Rostov Region Office of the Investigative Committee has launched a check a traffic accident that happened in Azov District. The accident involved a Gazel minibus with passengers aboard and claimed lives of 5 people, including 2 minors.

Mass media have reported that a 13-year-old boy was handcuffed to a bed at home in the town of Kyshtym, Chelyabinsk Region, for almost 24 hours. The boy’s elder brother, a military man, is reported to have been the one who did it. The Chelyabinsk Garrison Military Office of the Investigative Committee has initiated criminal proceedings against the man suspected of illegal deprivation of freedom under Part 2, item “e” of Article 127 of the RF Criminal Code.

All procedural decision made over the said incidents are going to be analyzed by the control department of the Central Office and are going to be reported to the Chairman.
