A court has recognized the evidence collected by the Krasnoyarsk Territory Office of the Investigative Committee as sufficient to convict a 37-year-old resident of the city of Krasnoyarsk.

He was found guilty of sexual abuse and sexual assault on a person under 14 years of age under Parts 3 and 4 of Article 131 and Article 132 of the RF Criminal Code.

The court and investigators have revealed that from April 2009 to November 2015, the accused sexually abused his stepdaughter, who was 9 years when he first started doing it, when his wife was not at home. There are 55 charge counts.

The court has sentenced the man to 19 years in a maximum security correctional facility.
